The PBM Reporting Transparency Act would require the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) to submit two reports to Congress on agreements between pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and prescription drug plans or MA–PD plans. The initial report, due within two years after the Secretary makes relevant data available to MedPAC, would analyze trends in PBM agreements, their effects on enrollee out-of-pocket costs and pharmacy reimbursement, and include any appropriate recommendations.
