8-1-1 - Department Created.#
There is hereby created the Community Development Department.
8-1-2 - City Engineer.#
There is hereby created the position of City Engineer and shall have all the powers, rights, and duties conferred upon such municipal engineer by law.
8-1-3 - Powers and Duties.#
The Community Development Department shall have charge of physical planning, design and development and regulation of land uses, subdivisions, buildings and businesses. The City Engineer may employ, subject to the approval of the City Manager, such help as shall be necessary to carry out the duties prescribed by City ordinances and by the rules and regulations adopted by the City Council.
