Sec. 30-30. - Director of public works and code enforcement to administer program.

(a)

The director of public works shall have the charge, care and management of the personnel and equipment engaged in the administration of the program for collection of household refuse in the city. The director of public works and code enforcement or their designee shall have the authority to enforce the provisions of this chapter which shall include the power to perform inspections, issue citations and prosecute violations.

(b)

An enforcing officer may order the owner or occupant of any premises in the city to remove at his own expense any nuisance, refuse, solid waste, source of filth or filth found thereon within 24 hours after the service of notices as prescribed herein.

(c)

The department of public works shall collect refuse from the residential structures and municipal buildings as set forth by this article.
