What it does
Existing law generally regulates the requirements for vehicle tires. Existing law prohibits a dealer or person with a retail seller's permit from selling, offering for sale, exposing for sale, or installing on a vehicle for use on a highway, a tire that is not in compliance with regulations that set noise standards for pneumatic tires.
