What it does
Creates the Economic Development Institute Act. Provides that the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity shall establish the Economic Development Institute. Provides that the Institute shall work in conjunction with one or more of the State's universities and with professional associations involved in development to establish the Institute as a central coordinating entity for economic development training and educational programs in Illinois.
