What it does
Existing law requires that a constitutional amendment, bond measure, or other legislative measure submitted to the people by the Legislature appear on the ballot of the first statewide election occurring at least 131 days after the adoption of the proposal by the Legislature. Existing law specifies the order in which state measures appear on the ballot, as provided, and requires state measures to be numbered in a continuous sequence starting with "1" for a period of 10 years, after which time the sequence recommences.
