What it does
The Budget Act of 2017 made appropriations for the support of state government for the 2017–18 fiscal year. Among other things, the act appropriated $7,000,000 from the General Fund for grants for cities and counties that participate in the federal Local Update of Census Addresses Program and for the Department of Finance to use for costs related to hiring a Census Outreach Coordinator for specified fiscal years.
