What it does
The Alcoholic Beverage Control Act, administered by the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, regulates the manufacture, distribution, and sale of alcoholic beverages and prescribes various license fees based on the type of license issued, among other things. The act authorizes the department to adjust the fees annually based upon specified criteria and requires the department to transmit the adjusted fee list to the Chairperson of the Joint Legislative Budget Committee in writing no later than January 10 of the year before it becomes effective.
