What it does

Existing law requires a bank, in order to be eligible to receive demand or time deposits of state funds, to deposit security with the Treasurer and specifies the securities that may be used for this purpose. Existing law includes specified letters of credit issued by the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco within the list of securities appropriate for deposit.
