What it does
Existing law makes pandering a felony, and defines that crime as procuring a person for purposes of prostitution, causing or encouraging another person to become a prostitute by promises, threats, or violence, procuring for another person a place as an inmate in a house of prostitution, procuring another person for the purpose of prostitution by fraud or duress, or receiving or giving money for procuring another person for the purpose of prostitution.
