What it does

Existing law, subject to an appropriation, requires the California Department of Aging, in consultation with the California Commission on Aging, to enter into a contract with a research-based university gerontology department, as specified, to develop information and materials relating to the concept of "aging in place" and the benefits of home modification for seniors. Existing law requires the department to distribute that information to area agencies on aging and other appropriate entities.
