What it does

SB 1674 - Beginning January 1, 2027, this act requires the Governor to appoint a nonvoting student representative to the Coordinating Board for Higher Education. The student representative shall serve a two-year term and shall attend all meetings and participate in all deliberations of the Coordinating Board.\r \r \tTo be eligible for the position of student representative, an individual shall be enrolled full-time at an educational institution that satisfies the definition of "approved public institution" established in current law, which includes public community colleges, state college and universities, and public technical colleges.
