(1) Existing law establishes the State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission (Energy Commission) and prescribes the authorities, duties, and responsibilities of the commission pertaining to energy matters. Existing law establishes an adviser position in the Energy Commission who is nominated by the Energy Commission and appointed by the Governor to ensure the full and adequate participation of interested groups and the public in the proceedings of the Energy Commission.
