What it does
The Unruh Civil Rights Act generally prohibits discrimination on the basis of various personal characteristics, including disability. Existing law entitles individuals with disabilities to full and equal access to all housing accommodations offered for rent, lease, or compensation in this state, as provided, and prohibits a person renting, leasing, or otherwise providing real property for compensation from refusing to make reasonable accommodations for an individual with a disability.
