What it does
Existing law permits a person who has suffered harassment, as defined, to file a petition for a temporary restraining order and a restraining order after hearing prohibiting the harassment. Existing law requires the petitioner to personally serve the respondent with the petition for the temporary restraining order and restraining order, as applicable, and notice of the hearing.
