What it does
Existing law, the State Bar Act, provides for the licensure and regulation of attorneys by the State Bar of California. The State Bar is governed by the board of trustees of the State Bar. Under existing law, rules of professional conduct adopted by the board of trustees are binding upon all members of the State Bar and the board has power to discipline members for a willful breach of those rules.
