The act:Specifies title use restrictions for certified addiction specialists, certified addiction technicians, and addiction counselor candidates; Establishes clinical supervision privileges for licensed and certified addiction counselors to provide supervision of persons working toward certification or licensure; and Clarifies the education and hours of practice required to be certified or licensed as an addiction counselor and the scope of practice of licensed addiction counselors.
