What it does
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Makes various changes in the wording and arrangement of provisions concerning disabled veterans' license plates. Provides that any veteran who holds proof of a service-connected disability from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs whose degree of disability has been declared to be 50% or more, but is statutorily ineligible for a plate or decal for persons with disabilities, may obtain a special registration plate without the international symbol of access. Provides that the design and color of such plates shall be within the discretion of the Secretary, except that plates may not contain the international symbol of access if issued to veterans…
