What it does
(1) Existing law establishes the Public Interest Research, Development, and Demonstration Program for the purpose of making awards for public interest energy research, development, and demonstration projects or programs that are not provided for by competitive regulated markets. Existing law prescribes, until January 1, 2012, procedures that the State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission (Energy Commission) is required to follow in adopting regulations to implement the program.
