What it does
Existing law, the Barbering and Cosmetology Act, establishes the State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology for the licensure and regulation of barbers and cosmetologists. A violation of the act is a crime, unless otherwise provided. The act requires the board to conduct certain reviews and report its findings and recommendations as prescribed by November 1, 2018.
