What it does
Permits the use of medical cannabis by persons with serious medical conditions as determined by their physician. Establishes a medical cannabis program to permit the cultivation, processing, testing, transportation, and dispensing of medical cannabis by holders of a valid permit. Requires the state department of health (state department) to implement and enforce the medical cannabis program. Requires that permit holders take steps to prevent diversion of medical cannabis to unauthorized persons.
