What it does
Existing law authorizes the Director of the Department of Motor Vehicles to establish a registration year for any vehicle consisting of any period from 7 months to 18 months, inclusive, with subsequent renewals being required at yearly intervals thereafter. Existing law authorizes the department to establish a fleet registration program for fleets consisting of at least 50 motor vehicles. Existing law requires the annual registration of any identified fleet vehicle.
