What it does
Existing law regulates forest resources and the management of timberlands in the state. Existing law also makes various legislative findings and declarations regarding the policy of the state to encourage prudent and responsible forest resource management calculated to serve the public's need for timber and other forest products, while giving consideration to the public's need for specified protections, resources, and opportunities.
