Digest: The Act makes district attorneys, and some forensic science workers who work for OSP, police officers under PERS. The Act lowers the age at which some police and firefighters can retire. The Act makes a new class of employees in PERS for people who work in hazardous positions. The Act allows those people to retire earlier with higher pensions.
