SB 967 - This act establishes the Black History Education and Awareness Commission Act and creates a permanent state commission known as the Black History Education and Awareness Commission, which shall be housed in the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The Commission shall promote implementation of education and awareness programs relating to the history, experiences, and achievements of black people in Missouri and across the country.
