Existing law requires the governing board of each school district and each county superintendent of schools to adopt a local control and accountability plan and to annually update its local control and accountability plan, using a template for a local control and accountability plan and an annual update to the local control and accountability plan adopted by the State Board of Education, before July 1 of each year.
