What it does

The Classroom Instructional Improvement and Accountability Act, enacted by initiative statute, requires the governing board of each school district maintaining an elementary or secondary school to develop and cause to be implemented for each school in the school district a school accountability report card that provides data by which a parent can make meaningful comparisons between public schools that will enable him or her to make informed decisions on the school in which to enroll his or her children.
