What it does
Amends the Regulation of Public Pension Funds and the Downstate Firefighter Articles of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that the Public Pension Division of the Department of Insurance or the Consolidated Fund may examine or investigate any downstate police or downstate firefighter pension fund as often as the Division or the Consolidated Fund deems appropriate but shall, at a minimum, conduct an examination of every downstate police and downstate firefighter pension fund not less frequently than once every 7 years (instead of once every 3 years).
