What it does

(1) Existing law provides for the licensure, registration, and regulation of clinical laboratories and various clinical laboratory personnel by the State Department of Public Health. Existing law provides that nothing in those provisions restrict, limit, or prevent any person licensed to provide health care services under the state's laws, including, but not limited to, licensed physicians and surgeons and registered nurses, from practicing the professions or occupation for which they are licensed.
