8.44.030 - Owner responsibilities for vacant properties.

A.
Property owners of vacant buildings or properties bear ultimate responsibility to maintain and secure their property against unlawful entry or to remove the vacant building from the premises.
B.
Vacant buildings shall be maintained so as to appear capable of occupancy. In the event that the vacant property is not so maintained, the property owner shall take appropriate measures to secure the building against unlawful entry, and make repairs when others unlawfully break through their security measures or to remove the vacant building from the premises
C.
Properties containing vacant buildings shall be maintained in accordance with the landscaping standards of this Code.
