Sec. 56-18. - Exceptions in noncompete clauses in school department food vendor contracts.

In all contracts between the Warwick School Department and vendors selling food and drink products, in which the contracts contain a prohibition against competitive vendors selling food and drink products in the schools (a so-called noncompete clause), the contract shall provide an exception to such prohibition for food and drink fundraising sales which are sponsored and conducted by PTA's, PTO's and student groups, so that such fundraising activities may take place without violating the contract.
