Sec. 2-30. - Attendance of department directors at city council meetings.

When an ordinance, resolution or other item is on a city council meeting docket and said ordinance, resolution or other item involves a department whether by way of purchasing a product or service or by way of enforcement if city council approval is granted, the director of said department or the assistant director of said department or a designee of the director of said department with knowledge of the ordinance, resolution or other item must attend the city council committee meeting at which the matter will be considered and also must attend the city council meeting at which the matter will be considered.
