To protect the public, the tree warden shall require any person who plants, maintains, prunes, cares for, or removes trees on public property or significant trees as a business to: (1)
Have on its staff a Rhode Island licensed arborist. This arborist shall oversee all contract work and certify that all the work complies with the Warren Tree Administrative Guidelines.
(2)
Carry workman's compensation to the extent required by law.
(3)
Carry public liability and property damage insurance in an amount as determined by the town manager to cover and save harmless the town and its agents from all suits, claims, or actions of every class and nature, or on persons or property damage caused by or claimed to be caused, directly or indirectly, by the conduct of the work.
