In a riverine situation, the building official shall notify the following of any alteration or relocation of a watercourse: Town of Little Compton, RI

Within six months shall notify FEMA of changes in the base flood elevation by submitting technical or scientific data so insurance and floodplain management can be based on current data.
The carrying capacity of the altered or relocated watercourse shall be maintained.
