Sec. 11-71. - Training of employees.

Responsibility for developing training programs for employees shall be assumed jointly by the mayor, personnel director and heads of departments. Such training programs may include lecture courses, demonstrations, assignment of reading matter or such other methods as may be available for the purpose of improving the efficiency and broadening the knowledge of municipal officers and employees in the performance of their respective duties. Participation in and successful completion of special training courses may be considered in making advancements and promotions. Evidence of such activity shall be filed by the employee with the director.
