9.95.010 - Findings and purpose.

The text
(a)
In accordance with California Civil Code Section 1946.2(g)(1)(B), the city council finds that the provisions of this chapter regulating just cause terminations of tenancies are more protective than California Civil Code Section 1946.2 for the following reasons:
(1)
The just cause for termination of a residential tenancy under this chapter is consistent with California Civil Code Section 1946.2.
(2)
This chapter provides additional protections that are not prohibited by any other provisions of applicable law.
(b)
This chapter establishes a local policy regulating rents consistent with the Costa-Hawkins Rental Housing Act.
