There is adopted that certain public health code known and designated as the "Public Health Code of the County of Los Angeles," County Ordinance No. 7583, as adopted by the board of supervisors of the county of Los Angeles on August 25, 1959, and which became effective on September 25, 1959, and as amended through and including Ordinance No. 2004-0036, adopted June 29, 2004. The code shall be and become the public health code of the city, regulating matters concerning the public health within the city.
